Alberni Valley Museum

Located in the heart of Port Alberni you will find one of British Columbia's best museums. The Alberni Valley Museum reflects the diverse past of the area and exhibits a large collection of artifacts linked to First Nations culture, local and industrial history, and folk art. The Alberni Valley Museum uses a unique visible storage system to make the entire collection available to the visitor at all times, in easy to use catalogue books. Alberni Harbour Quay

This is Port Alberni's hub of excitement. You will find restaurants and galleries fill the Harbour Quay, making it a stroller's paradise. This is the starting point of the MV Lady Rose, a passenger and cargo boat that tours the area, as well as the Alberni Pacific Railway which runs rail tours of Port Alberni to the McLean Mills Heritage Site, are also at this waterfront location. Banfield Lifeboat

Visit the restored Banfield Lifeboat that you will find on display at the entry to the "Lady Rose" dock at the Harbour Quay. This unique and important vessel has been restored by members of the Port Alberni Maritime Heritage Society
